I fully agree with your comment about being a pastor. I believe that the office of a pastor is the single most important position of the physical church. An effective pastor is one that must be in unity with the leadership/elders of the church. The vision of the of the pastor should be to love each member of their body. That does take super amounts of prayer (and fasting) in order for God's will to be fulfilled in the life of the members of the body of Christ. However, I believe the pastor should keep an opening discussion of these matters (matters of the body) with the church's elders/leaders. The pastor must find a way for this to work (God's way is the only way). Finding God's way has proven to be hard; but it is not. His word has proven itself to be true. Often times human flesh (emotions, etc.) gets in The Way and becomes the way the church often operates. We need the pastor to be the number one earthly example of doing things God's way. It takes things to be done intentionally and with purpose in order for God to be in control of the body of Christ.
